Just A Little Update

It has been exactly one year since my last blog.  I have thought about posting a new blog but it never happened.  With three post high school kids living at home it is hard to come up with a blog post that will not embarrass - ME!  The things they do or say!  But even if I could get past the embarrassment most of what they say that is funny would require too much background information.

How about a short update of this past year?

Rebecca moved back home and after a year of being here she will be moving into her own place soon.  Her apartment will be closer to where she works which is great for her since she works on the other side of the metroplex.  She is the afternoon kindergarten teacher and absolutely loves it.  (And they love her!)

John is in his second year of college and stay busier than I knew anyone could possibly be.  He officially has a band, although the name is still undecided.  He played for the mission church he volunteers at for a community event and on the 31st he will have the privilege of playing before a couple of thousand people at  the fall festival at our local church.  Here is a recording from my non smartphone.

Patricia spent most of her senior year sick.  She was homebound most of the second semester but she came back just in time to not only graduate but finish strong as well.  She even got to go to prom.  She was beautiful, but then she always is.  This has been a year of change for her.  She started driving, started working, and started college.  It was also a year that she photographed everything even after her camera was broken beyond repair...the iPod took over though not as good but still provided pictures.  Here are a few of the pictures she took.

Today is 11-11-11, can't remember the significance of the soup can.

One of the several times we went to Six Flags thanks to season passes from my folks

I have no idea what she and Sharon are doing

Since being sick Patricia still has to be careful what she eats so I made special meatballs that she could eat and put them in this little crock pot

It is the little things in life that make you happy!
