answer to the question

Ok, when I put the question, "Why do we have eyebrows?" it was for kids who have asked this question to me before. Today at work I came across a book left out, A Book of Curiosities. I opened and began to glance through it. You guessed it. One of the questions in the book is, "Why do we have eyebrows?" Allow me to share the book's explanation for eyebrows. "They serve as shields for the eyes. They catch or hold back perspiration which drips from the brow...and filter small insects and impurities in the air, preventing them from entering the eyes." In addition to this, "The eyes are the most expressive feature of the face, giving liveliness to one's appearance." I know each of you can sleep much better knowing why God created eyebrows. Who knows maybe after you have had time to digest this answer, I will answer the next life pondering question.

Good post! I think I knew the part about protecting the eyes, but the insect part is a rather disgusting thought.

I learned last week that over our lifetime we actually eat up to 300 bugs just while we're sleeping. So, I am even more thankful now for the eyebrows, which may limit this number in any way.
